There are so many great gifts for the genealogist. I can think of a bunch of them right here. 

You know, sometimes you just get lucky.  I was listing some Postcards for sale this morning on Abbysbuysellgenealogy when I thought to check out Lola Rassler on the net and up pops her name listed on Find A Grave.  (see below) 

Abstracted Obituary - The Register-News, Mt. Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinois, Fri 7 July 2000: RASSLER, Lola, 91, of Wayne City d. 6 July 2000 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon; b. 5 Apr 1909 in Wayne Co; d/o Wallace LEACH and Rinna WEBBER; md Nathan RASSLER, he d. 1966; surv. by 1 brother, Nolan LEACH; 1 sister, Venita STORM; 2 sisters-in-law, Maravene LEACH and Nell LEACH; burial Thomason Cem. in Wayne City. 

That gave me her maiden name, parents name, husband and siblings.  This is a great morning.

On Abbysbuysellgenealogy is a beautiful postcard written to Sybel and Maurice Mosheim.  If I were a relative I would be jumping all over this postcard especially since it was sent from Ma and Daddy!!!
